Terms & Conditions


All decisions of the Organising Committee are final.

Event
- We strongly recommend the use of helmets, wrist guards, knee and elbow pads.

- Parental consent will be required for those skaters who are under 18 on the day of the event and must be presented at the registration desk when collecting the race documentation.

- All organiser and event marshals decisions are final. Please listen to them, they are there for your safety.

- You are allowed to listen to personal MP3 players while you skate but please only use one headphone so that you can hear event marshals.

- We shall accept only cash payments on the day.

- We reserve the right to refuse admission on the day due to excessive registrations or on the grounds of safety.

- All races (except wheelchair & Trikke) start at midday on the 14th August 2011.

- The Wheelchair & Trikke race starts at 2pm on 14th August 2011.

- Wheelchair users must use a Sports wheelchair to complete the race. If you arrive on the day without a sports wheelchair you will be unable to race and will not receive a refund on your race entry fee.


Payment/Registration
- Payment is non refundable should the participant not start the race or if the event is cancelled due to a cause beyond the organisers' control.

- Registrations are non transferable.

- The last day for online registration is 11th August 2011 when paying online.

- Confirmation of entry will be sent only if the competitor provides a valid email address.

- If you change your race online after you have registered you will be charged the current entry price.

- Registrations on the day are not guaranteed chip timing or a memento to keep.


Race Numbers/Timing
- The race pack (including number and timing chip) may be collected from registration on the race day by confirmation of your name and DOB.

- The race number is to be worn on the left thigh/leg.

- The timing chip must not be changed in any way and must be returned to the organisers at the end of the event.

- The chip must be attached on the boot in the lace area or on the ankle with the provided cable or strip. It must not be attached to the metal frame of a skate.

- If you do not wear a chip, your lap times and completion of the race will not be recorded.

- If you lose your timing chip you will be charged a £60 replacement fee.

- You are responsible for counting your own laps. You may use a friend / relative to assist your counting if you so desire.

- Only people with a race number will be allowed access to the Track.


Liability
- You are participating in this event at your own risk. Liability of any kind will not be assumed neither by the organiser, the circuit, sponsors, nor officials. This applies to accidents, lost items of clothing and other valuables. Collection of race number acknowledges fitness to compete and agreement of the present terms and conditions.


Your Privacy
- The data we collect from you at registration will only be used for the normal running of the event. We are very strict about where your data goes and will ensure that it is only passed to companies directly helping us with the running of our event. We will NEVER sell any information about you to any third party.

A starters list and results will be published on our webpages which includes name, sex, team, category & race number. All pages that show your data like this are marked so that they cannot be indexed by search engines.

- We shall use the e-mail address you used to register to send you information on this and following year's marathons. You will be able to unsubscribe from this mailing system once the event you registered for is completed.

- Sponsorship information including details of your sponsors will be passed to the charity so that they may claim Gift Aid on sponsorship.

- Participants grant full permission to any and all of the foregoing to use any photographs, motion or television pictures, recordings, or any other record of this event for any legitimate purpose, including commercial advertising.


Amendments
- Information, regulations and conditions shown on this page are subject to changes. If this is the case, it may be advertised at our discretion by e-mail to participants who provided their address. The latest terms & conditions will be displayed on the day of the event on site at the registration desk.
