Subject: [Goodwood Marathon] 10 days to go until race day


Online Registration closes on the Thursday 7th August - Don't miss
your chance to grab our pre event prices!

As our event draws closer we wanted to remind you of a few key dates:

Due to the processing time required we are no longer accepting postal
registration or cheque payments, however you will still be able to pay
online by Credit Card / PayPal (you do not need a PayPal account)
until Thursday 7th August.  After then only registration on the day
will be available, which is cash only.

If you do want to pay on the day then please do feel free to register
online now.  This will reserve your spot in the race and save you
having to fill out all the paperwork when you get there.

There will be an awards ceremony again this year with trophies for the
first three racers in each race as well as category and of course we
also have medals for all participants.  You will be glad to hear that
the ice cream van is back and this year we think you will pretty much
see every size/shape/style of skate (and skater) there is!!

The Goodwood Roller Marathon really is a fun day out.  We have all
levels of skaters there from the elite speed skaters to the complete
novice.  This mix of people makes a great atmosphere.  The course is a
fairly flat route around a lovely smooth track with the excitement of
skating in a safe environment away from traffic around the prestigious
Goodwood circuit. This year we have four events in one, one for
beginners and younger participants of 2 laps, one for the intermediate
skater of 5 laps, the classic full marathon of 11 laps and the massive
26 lap race for the experienced so a whole family of different
abilities can take part.  We aren't even restricting the event to just
skates as we have long-borders and Nordic skiers taking part.

Goodwood Roller Marathon is run in aid of the NSPCC.  The aim of the
day is to have fun, skate safely, and raise as much money for the
NSPCC as possible.
