Subject: [Goodwood Marathon] 2008 Registration Now Open!
REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN - Goodwood Roller Marathon 10th August 2008!
Can you be the first person to register and get the first race number?
Just as previous years you can register & pay both online or by post.

We try not to spam you with too much e-mail so have saved it all up
for this message, we know it's a long mail but please read it all :-)
*New in 2008 - The MEGA!*
Last year we introduced two smaller races, the Midi and the Mini at
five and two laps respectively. This year we have also added the MEGA
at 26 laps which is 62.92 miles or 101.26 km! Are you brave enough to
take it on?
Please be aware that we give five hours to complete all races, while
this is more than enough for the Mini, Midi and Full marathons we are
afraid that we cannot give you more than this to complete the Mega.
*The NSPCC*
We are proud to be supporting the NSPCC (The National Society for the
Prevention of Cruelty to Children) again this year, they have helped
us a lot with our event and are a very friendly charity to work with.
We're sure you have heard of all the good work they do providing
services for children and families, raising public awareness of child
issues and changing the law's to protect children. We hope you will
help us support this good cause. You can get sponsored (more below)
or donate directly, either through the website or on the day.

*Sponsorship*
You all raised so much for charity last year (over £5000) and this
year we want to raise even more. You can start an online sponsorship
page through JustGiving or print out the paper sponsorship forms we
have made up for you. We have already heard of some amazing stories
of people using our event as part of bigger or team sponsorship and
will try and post details of how your all getting sponsored on our
site soon.

*Not everyone is online*
I know it's shocking but not everyone is online or has access to
e-mail and the web. We have however tried hard to make sure that paper
versions of all the forms as well as posters/flyers are available
online for you to print out yourselves. Please help us by printing
out some posters, flyers or forms to pin up or hand out at your local
roller related gatherings :-) If you need large numbers and don't have
a (work) photocopier to abuse then please give us a shout and we'll
pop some in the post to you.

*Spread the word*
We would really appreciate your help publicising this event, while we
have a fantastic group of skater pixies working behind the scenes to
let the right people know of our event, you can help out too. If you
have a blog, a forum or even another mailing list then please post
details. If your a Facebook user then do join our group and add our
event. Of course, if you have any good leads/contacts for people we
should be talking to then please send them our way :-)
